The
Alpinestars Atom FIA Suit is
similar to the
Atom SFI-5 Suit, but swaps the SFI rating for the international
FIA8856-2018 rating (which is generally accepted in the USA as well.)
Additionally, the Atom FIA Suit uses
elastic euro leg cuffs instead with optional eye-catching graphic styles also available.
The Atom FIA auto racing suit uses
two layers of soft Nomex and features a
semi-shiny external finish. This two layer construction keeps this suit lightweight and more breathable than cheaper options.
There are stretch panels integrated along the lower back, as well as the crotch, and inside of the fully floating arms. Both the arms and legs are
pre-curved to make prevent tugging when limbs are only partially extended while seated.
The arms and legs use elasticated cuffs for a clean and classic racing profile. The optional graphic versions feature high contrast fully printed graphics creating a striking, modern look. All styles of the Atom suit have integrated extraction pull handles on the shoulder epaulettes.

This suit carries the
FIA8856-2018 rating. This is roughly equivalent to the
SFI3.2A/5 (SFI-5) rating commonly used in the USA and should be accepted at any event the SFI3.2A/5 rating is required.
