Features:
Proban was first developed in the 1950s and is a fire retardant chemical that can be applied to cotton and other cellulosic fabrics. The chemical in no way affects the physical properties of the fabric that it is applied to as there is no chemical reaction between the two elements. Proban fabrics enjoy widespread use in industrial, military, civilian and racing applications, and have developed a proven reputation as a tough, reliable fire retardant material. In the event of fire, Proban cotton decomposes and burns into a localized charred section that serves to act as a barrier. The fabric has no afterglow, does not smolder and flame does not spread outside of the immediately affected area, which means only fabric that is directly exposed to flame will burn.
The K1 single layer SFI race suit is an affordable, high quality fire suit that is perfect for novice and experienced racers. If the race league that you compete in does not require Nomex fabric, our Proban cotton fire suit is the logical choice! Providing superb protection in the event of a fire thanks to its SFI 3.2A/1 certification and designed to meet the needs of racers at an extremely competitive price, you will not be disappointed in the K1 Triumph race suit!
